SHIFT MATERIALS

Contributing to Shaping the Future of Energy Storage with Sustainable Materials

Lithium Iron Phosphate has emerged as a key cathode material for lithium-ion batteries
Our Aim
To become a reliable European producer of lithium phosphate–based cathode materials, with a core focus on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and advanced lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP)

The demand for electric vehicles and energy storage solutions is rapidly growing, driving the shift towards mass-market electrification in Europe, which heavily relies on batteries.

The future of lithium-ion batteries will depend significantly on advancements in cathode materials.
The choice of battery cathode materials plays a critical role in the performance, efficiency, and safety of lithium-ion batteries.

LFP is re-establishing its position in the battery industry due to its unique properties, including high thermal stability, safety, long cycle life, and low cost compared to most other cathode chemistries. Additionally, LFP cathodes are free from critical metals such as nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co).
Our targeted improvements in LFP materials aim to drive innovation in the energy storage industry.
